2.What made you move here?
The strongest reason was US visa regulations for my Catalan wife. We also thought it'd be nice to live here for awhile.


3.What made you leave / stay?
We've stayed to comply with US visa regulations, but also because we like it for the most part, my wife missed home and likes being near her family, and because the prospect of another international move with 3 young children is a bit daunting.


4.What you like the most about Barcelona.
Overall, it's a beautiful city and is very well located - next to the sea, and close to the mountains.


5.What you dislike the most about Barcelona.
The hours (the mid-day break when everything closes was kind of cool at first, but overall complicates everything too much for my taste) and the working environment in general: the work hours are too long and the pay is too low and the autocratic ethos to management is depressing.
